International Global Citizen's Award
encouraging young people to become better global citizens
In quite a number of schools, including some IGC Award schools, students undertake service in foreign countries. Opportunities to do this are quite readily available organised by companies or by the school itself. There is also an increasing awareness that such activities need to be very carefully organised with clear considerations of the benefits and impacts – positive and negative – on the community receiving student visitors.
