Earth Hour approaches

Earth Hour is an annual event for an hour from 8.30pm on the last Saturday in March – this year on Saturday 30th March. It is organised by WWF International and volunteer organisations.
(Earth Hour is different from Mother Earth Day (a United Nations-designated day)
During Earth Hour, people are encouraged to reduce energy expenditure by turning off lights and/or organising other events related to sustainability and protection of the natural world.
You can join in events taking place locally, or organise one of your own, and post it to the Earth Hour website.

Earth Day or, officially, International Mother Earth Day, is now an officially recognised and designated United nations day. It falls on 22 April each year.
