The IGC girls have been as busy as bees during the last few months. Firstly, with the rest of the Year 7's they organised and ran a fairtrade lunch and day. Following research and letters to fairtrade organisations as well as big food companies the girls identified where fairtrade products could be sourced in Budapest-not an easy task! They then wrote a menu and found recipes, went shopping for the goods, cooked and prepared a lunch for the whole of Year 7 plus some other very distinguished guests including Ms. Thompson the Principal.
In addition to this, the girls are in the process of collecting toys for a local children's hospital where they are refurbishing the waiting room. They have organised a competition between classes to get second hand books and toys, are having a bake sale to raise money for paint and furniture and are planning the big refurbishment on a Saturday in early June.
