First Year Complete!

Here at AIS Balikpapan, we have just given out our first years worth of Bronze awards. It was wonderful to see the students congratulated for their hard work and efforts over the last 12 months. 

Our "year" has been a bit disjointed as we ran it from Term 3 2103 until Term 3 2014. When we first started in 2013 we had 8 students. By the start of 2014 we had just about all of our secondary campus involved (we are small but still!) It was great to see how the students were signing up just because they wanted to be involved and learn more about what it means to be a Global Citizen. We have worked with a local orphanage, planted trees, fundraised for Indonesian Charities, researched and presented our findings and taken time to learn about other cultures. 

It has been a wonderful experience, enjoyed by all. 

Thanks to everyone involved in putting together and starting up such a fantastic network promoting global citizenship.
